We understand that running a business can be challenging. If you're having trouble paying your bills, we're here to help.
As a first step, please contact us via webchat at the earliest possible opportunity. We'll give you guidance on the steps to take.
Smart meters are a great way of keeping on top of your energy costs. They'll tell us how much electricity you're using by automatically sending us up to date meter readings, so you don't have to.
If we haven't yet installed your electricity smart meter or we don't receive your reading automatically, we'll email you to ask that you give us an up to date reading online. This makes sure that you get accurate bills, so you're only ever paying for the energy you use – no more, no less.
One of the best ways to take more control of your costs is by forecasting and budgeting ahead. For your peace of mind, we recommend a fixed contract to protect you from price changes during your contract term. We'll contact you to let you know your options before your contract ends.
If you're paying Deemed prices or are on a Variable Price Plan, then talk to us about a fixed term contract so you pay less for the energy you use.
Making your business more energy efficient is a good way to keep costs down – and it's easier than you think. We can help get you started with simple everyday ways to save energy – like turning off computers overnight along with any other equipment that's not needed

Whatever your financial situation, the earlier you get the right support, the sooner you can go back to running your business.
If you're having difficulty paying your bill or your circumstances or business needs change, then get in touch and we'll discuss options to help you get your business energy back on track.
Back billing is when a bill is created to cover the amount owed by a customer who has previously been undercharged, due to old meter readings being estimated. Providing monthly readings to us ensures that this situation doesn't happen.
If we need to back bill you, we'll limit the period of back billing to a maximum of one year. Your payment will be taken by direct debit a minimum of 10 days after the bill is sent to you. If you need help paying it, contact us on webchat to agree a payment plan to help spread the cost and lessen the impact to your business.
